Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals

The third installment of the Leisure Suit Larry games begins with an age verification test. Select anything over 25 to play. The game quizzes you to verify your age. Pressing CTRL+ALT+X will allow you to cheat and choose the number of correct answers you want. Choose 5 for the most 'adult' experience!

Part 1: Nontoonyt Island

Walk up to the plaque in front of the grass and LOOK PLAQUE (+2, 2/4000 points). EXIT and walk up to the left binocular and LOOK IN BINOCULAR (+2, 4/4000) to see a topless woman. Exit by going EAST and next go WEST following the flashing hand sign. Walk a bit to the left and a cutscene plays out, where Kalalau divorces you for another woman (Bobbi). Leave by going EAST and go EAST once more. Walk a few meters to see Larry change into his Leisure Suit. Walk WEST and take the wood by GET LOG (+2, 6/4000 points).

Return to your former home by going WEST and walk up to the letterbox. OPEN MAILBOX and TAKE LETTER to receive your credit card (+20, 26/4000 points). Walk EAST twice to return to the scene where you changed into your leisure suit. Exit this screen in the lower right corner (SOUTHEAST). Follow the flashing hand and go WEST. Go WEST once more to enter Natives, Inc. After getting fired, go EAST again and go SOUTH to the beach. You will see a souvenir vendor having no problems at all selling crap to the young woman (Tawni). Wait until he leaves and walk up to the woman. LOOK WOMAN. Look her in the face LOOK FACE and GIVE CREDITCARD (+50, 76/4000 points). Tawni will give you a knife she bought as a souvenir (+40, 116/4000 points). After you get bitten by a crab, exit by going WEST. Walk NORTHEAST (behind the yellow railing) and walk up to the water fountain. GET SOAP (+12, 128/4000 points) and DRINK WATER (+2, 130/4000 points). Exit by going WEST. Walk up to the steps leading into the casino and SHARPEN KNIFE ON STEPS (+50, 180/4000 points).

In this scene there are three EASTERN exits. The one we just used, the one in the middle of the screen (leading to the comedy hut) and one in the top-right corner (leading to Dewey, Cheatem and Howe Attorneys). Take the EAST exit in the middle of the screen. Walk into the tall grass and CUT GRASS WITH KNIFE (+20, 200/4000 points). Next, MAKE SKIRT to make a native skirt (+30, 230/4000 points). Exit SOUTH and take the SOUTHEAST exit once again returning to the fountain. Go NORTHEAST back to the restrooms and enter the leftmost restroom. WEAR SKIRT (+10, 240/4000 points) and leave the stall. Make some art with CUT WOOD WITH KNIFE (+50, 290/4000 points) to make an erotic sculpture. Time to sell it! Walk back to the fountain by going EAST and to the beach by going SOUTH. Larry will sell the sculpture as a souvenir to Tawni (+35, 325/4000 points). Walk back to the stall NORTHEAST and enter the left stall. WEAR SUIT changes you back. Exit WEST and enter the casino up the steps EAST. Go NORTH and next NORTHWEST. Stand in front of the mirror and LOOK MIRROR (+2, 327/4000 points). Go WEST and walk up to the maitre d' to TALK MAN. He needs to see your ticket so SHOW TICKET. Use your Nontoonyt Tonite manual to find the correct pass number. For speed, I included them here as well:

Bribe the Maitre d' with GIVE MONEY (+50, 377/4000 points). When the show finishes, you'll be in the lobby again. Hang around until Cherri Tart appears and goes to the phone. Walk up to her and LOOK AT CHERRI (+5, 382/4000 points). TALK TO CHERRI twice and she will tell you that she wants some land. OFFER DEED to Cherri (+25, 407/4000 points). It's time to finalize your divorce. Go EAST, EAST, SOUTH and SOUTH to get back to the fountain. Take the NORTHWEST exit to get back to the crossroads.

. To reach the attorneys, take the NORTHEAST exit (see image). Go NORTH again to enter the office. Approach Roger, who works at the reception, and ASK DEED (+10, 417/4000 points). In Suzi's office, walk to the couch and SIT. Next, ASK DEED (+30, 447/4000 points) and Suzi will arrange it. STAND up and leave the office to the WEST. Leave the building by going SOUTH. Immediately re-enter the building and ASK DEED (+20, 467/4000 points). He should have the deed ready now (leaving and re-entering triggers the deed to be done). Go SOUTH, SOUTH and SOUTHEAST to go back to the fountain. Enter the Casino by going EAST. Go NORTH, WEST, WEST and go up to the door where Cherri is and KNOCK. You give the land to Cherri (+25, 492/4000 points). After a brief intermission, you'll be on-stage in Cherri's clothes. DANCE will help you out! (+43, 535/4000 points).

You now have two options. You can either go back inside, change into your leisure suit and finish your divorce OR finish your divorce dressed like this. Because your attorney, Suzi, likes cross-dressing, the latter option will reward you with sex with her and more points - but it takes longer. My recommendation: Keep your female clothes. More fun that way :-) The rest of this guide follows the slow-but-more-fun path.

Exit EAST and go EAST, SOUTH and SOUTH to reach the fountain. Go WEST, NORTHEAST and NORTH to get back to your Attorney. Go to Roger and ASK DIVORCE and PAY FEE (+10, 545/4000 points). Once you're in Suzi's office, she will take your outfit as an invite for sex (+100, 645/4000 points) - only to be constantly disturbed by the phone. Once the party is over, head on out and in again to give Roger time to finish your papers. Ask Roger about the divorce ASK DIVORCE (+20, 665/4000 points). Go SOUTH to exit the building and LOOK PAPERS to inspect your divorce. Turns out, Suzi left her gym membership card in there (+100, 765/4000 points). TURN KEYCARD to see the back (+65, 830/4000 points). Write down the three words/companies you will receive as they are clues for the locker combination. Also note that number 69 is the locker you want (of course). Use your Nontoonyt Tonite manual to look up your locker code, or for brevity, the table below:

Remember your locker code for later. First, go SOUTH and SOUTHEAST to get back to the fountain. Enter the Casino by going EAST and go NORTH, WEST, WEST and go to the door Cherri first came from. OPEN DOOR and walk up to your pile of clothes. WEAR SUIT to change clothes (+25, 855/4000 points). Exit EAST. Now that we have access to a gym, it's time to work out! Go back to the fountain (EAST, SOUTH, SOUTH). First, we need a towel. Go SOUTH to go back to the beach. Tawni is gone, but her towel remains. Walk to it and GET TOWEL to pick it up (+2, 857/4000 points). We could use a tan, so USE TOWEL. It is important to get back up at exactly the right time. When you get a message "Your tan now looks MAHvelous" (and you hear the points jingle), STAND UP (+30, 887/4000 points). Leave the beach by going WEST. Go NORTHWEST and SOUTHWEST (lower-left corner) to reach Phatt City. Enter the whale by going NORTH. Walk up to the western door and INSERT KEYCARD (+3, 890/4000 points). Your locker number is 69. Go to it (see picture).

. Open your locker using the code you retrieved from the back of the card: OPEN LOCKER (+100, 990/4000). Change into Suzi's sweatsuit WEAR SWEATSUIT (+4, 994/4000 points). CLOSE LOCKER and enter the upper-right door to get into the gym.

A few words about the gym: You have to complete a randomly set number of exercises on each of the four machines to lose your fat and get an attractive body. The number of repetitions you need to do is randomly determined but dependent upon the real speed of the computer. Fast computers result in an unreasonable number of repetitions you need to do. When using an emulator such as DOSBox, setting the speed to a lower clock cycle before starting the game might help. Regardless, to finish the game, approach each of the four machines and type USE MACHINE until you get a message that says "Congratulations", meaning you have done the required repetitions. Each machine needs the same repetitions so you now know the target to work for! STAND and move on to the next USE MACHINE. Rinse and repeat four times. You will have a new body once you're done! (+100, 1094/4000 points).

Exit the gym by going EAST. Walk back to your locker and OPEN LOCKER with the same combo. WEAR TOWEL and head for the left door to get a shower. Walk up to the top of the screen and TURN ON SHOWER. Walk into the water and USE SOAP (+60, 1154/4000 points). Walk back to the top of the screen and TURN OFF SHOWER. Leave the shower. Once back in the locker room DRY BODY WITH TOWEL (+22, 1176/4000 points). Return to your locker and OPEN LOCKER. USE DEODORANT (+27, 1203/4000 points) and WEAR LEISURE SUIT. Exit the locker room the way you came in, to the EAST. Walk up to the far door, INSERT KEYCARD and enter the room NORTH (+3, 1206/4000 points). Walk up to the podium and LOOK AT GIRL. TALK TO WOMAN three times to find out she needs a theme for her video - which you might suggest. Simply type HELP WITH VIDEO and watch the cutscene (+99, 1305/4000). She will take you to the tanning machine (+3, 1308/4000) for sex, which, of course, fails horribly. So, after that, leave the Fat City Gym by going SOUTH and walk EAST. Go EAST again - the middle path, below the route to your lawyer and above the route to the casino. Enter the cave by going WEST. Walk up to the ledge (be careful not to fall!) and PICK FLOWERS (+25, 1333/4000). Go WEST again to leave the cave. Now, MAKE LEI to make a nice lei (+50, 1383/4000). Walk SOUTH and then SOUTHEAST back to the fountain. Enter the casino by going EAST. Walk NORTH and EAST twice. You will enter the piano bar. Walk up to the empty seat next to the piano player (Passionate Patti) and SIT and next, LOOK PATTI (+5, 1338/4000). SHOW DECREE to convince Patti you're divorced (+150, 1488/4000). Next, GIVE LEI to Patti (+100, 1588/4000). Finally, ASK DATE (+125, 1713/4000). Patti mentions she wants wine, so let's get that.

STAND up and exit the piano bar WEST and WEST. Next, go SOUTH twice to return to the fountain. Walk NORTHWEST back to the crossroads and exit EAST once again. You're back at the screen where you cut the grass and with the cave to the flowers. Next, walk EAST and NORTH to enter the comedy club. Walk to the two men sitting in the lower left corner and TALK MAN. The game will prompt you what to say - you can enter anything you want (+5, 1718/4000). Next, walk up to the center table with the empty chair and SIT. Watch the entire comedy show to earn points (+) - don't forget to pick your favorite ethnic groups the comedian will make fun of (+100, 1818/4000). STAND up and GET BOTTLE to grab the wine (+15, 1833/4000). Leave the club by going SOUTH and go back to the Casino by going WEST, SOUTH, SOUTHEAST and at the fountain EAST. In the Casino/Hotel, go EAST and walk up to the button between the elevator and PUSH BUTTON. In the elevator, PUSH PENTHOUSE (+4, 1837/4000). Walk up to the small table with two glasses and POUR WINE (+500, 2337/4000). A cutscene will unfold after which from now on you will control Patti.

Part 2: Passionate Patti

Walk up to the empty bottle and GET BOTTLE (+25, 2362/4000). Hide behind the clothing screen on the left side of the room and GET PANTIES (+20, 2382/4000), GET PANTYHOSE (+20, 2402/4000), GET BRA (+20, 2422/4000) and GET DRESS (+10, 2432/4000). Leave your room by going SOUTH. In the elevator, PUSH ONE. Go WEST and NORTH then EAST twice to get back to the piano bar. Stand in front of the message board and GET MARKER (+50, 2482/4000). Walk to the piano and GET TIP (+25, 2507/4000). Walk back WEST, WEST, SOUTH, SOUTH. Go NORTHEAST back to the drinking fountain. Stand in front of it and FILL BOTTLE (+37, 2469/4000). Also, DRINK WATER - just to be sure, because once in the jungle, you will dry out quickly. Go WEST, WEST and EAST back to the grass/cave entrance screen. Approach the Maitre d' and GIVE TIPS (+118, 2587/4000). Walk up to the lower empty seat and SIT. As soon as Dale starts dancing THROW PANTIES TO DALE (+100, 2687/4000). Now, wait a little longer and you will see Dale walking by. TALK DALE - be quick before he leaves! As soon as he sits down, LOOK DALE (+1, 2688/4000). You can TALK TO DALE some and he will hint that you need the manual to cross the bamboo forest - which is true. There's not much to do here, so LEAVE. STAND up and leave the club by going EAST. Go EAST again and follow the purple-like path NORTH. At the cliff, walk NORTHWEST to the bamboo forest (between the rock and the bamboo).

The bamboo forest is tricky! The path is in the game manual - there is a song that starts at page 14/15. The first letter of every word is a direction you need to go (N for North, E for East, etc.). Patti will run out of water during the maze. When she is crawling and only when she is crawling DRINK WATER (+20, 2708/4000) to refresh her. DON'T DO IT TOO SOON AS SHE WILL GET THIRSTY AGAIN BEFORE YOU REACH THE END!!. Here is the maze for you to follow to make it easier:

You exit the maze (+100, 2808/4000). Approach the river and DRINK WATER (+42, 2850/4000). Be careful not to fall in! Continue NORTH. Walk up to the big stone (not the arch) near the cliff and TAKE OFF PANTYHOSE (+15, 2865/4000). Next, TIE PANTYHOSE TO ROCK to "climb" down (+40, 2905/4000). Once you are down, move to the SOUTHERN edge of the screen and GET LEAVES (+10, 2915/4000). Next, MAKE ROPE WITH LEAVES (+100, 3015/4000). Walk up to the palm tree on the right and CLIMB TREE. Once you are at the top, GET COCONUT to get some local produce (+25, 3040/4000). Next, it's time to cross the chasm. SWING ROPE AT ROCK (+20, 3060/4000). To secure it, TIE ROPE TO TREE (+20, 3080/4000). We won't cross this without some form of safety, so TEAR DRESS (+50, 3130/4000). Next, CLIMB ROPE to get across (this won't give you any points though). However, at the next screen, some kind of killer pig will try to attack us so we need a weapon. What about a coconut-swinging bra? Walk NORTHWEST and start walking north. As the pig approaches, TAKE OFF BRA (+5, 3135/4000) and PUT COCONUT IN BRA (+45, 3180/4000). Finally, attack the pig: THROW BRA (+100, 3280/4000). Continue NORTH.

Enter the water and swim to the log. PULL LOG (+10, 3290/4000). Next, SIT ON LOG (+20, 3310/4000). What follows is a little arcade game where you traverse the river and have to avoid obstacles. Bring the speed down, save and restore often, and cross the river. You can use F8 to skip it though - but you won't get the 150 points that completing the game gives you. Patti is captured and finds herself in a cage with Larry. USE MAGIC MARKER to escape (+500, 3810/4000). After falling through the Police Quest stage, go NORTH to see some fun items from your past, go EAST and float to the ACNE battery to PULL PLUG (+40, 3850/4000). Continue EAST and finish the game.
